Whether it’s a month dedicated to writing every day or taking the time to write from random prompts, writing is important and doing every day, whether just a line or a good scene helps shape your work and instills the discipline you need as a writer. For this, we are creating a challenge. Each editor of Buck Off and our readers must write every day and at the end of the week share their struggle, success and if you want, share what you wrote. But it doesn’t stop there because we for the Buck Off staff, we must be consistent (and not hypocrites if we urge you to create when we don’t) and for the days we miss, we will take a picture of us and put it in the ‘Shame Frame’ (see below).
So why the challenge? You don’t get that sweet ass novel written by daydreaming about it. And no, you can’t justify this by saying ‘hey, I know all the details…I’ll write about it later’. We know that excuse, we use it all the time! Like seriously…I have 20 books written in my head…
So be ready to share your success and take on the challenge because hey, we totes believe in you and your writing and we want to know your experiences while sharing our own.
